This Privacy Policy explains how Moon Factory Inc. (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the Tripura Breath mobile application (“App”).

  • Canada’s PIPEDA

  • Apple App Store privacy requirements

By using the App, you consent to the practices described below.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate the App and provide breathing sessions and personalization features.

A. Account Information

  • Email address

  • Authentication credentials

  • Optional profile information

B. Device Information

  • Device type

  • Operating system version

  • App version

  • Anonymous device identifiers

C. Breathing & Session Data

Tripura Breath uses your device microphone to detect breathing phases in real time.

Important clarifications:

  • Raw audio is never recorded.

  • Raw audio is never stored.

  • Raw audio is never transmitted to our servers.

  • Audio processing occurs entirely on your device.

  • Only breathing features (such as inhale/exhale timing and breathing rate) are extracted.

  • Raw audio is immediately discarded after real-time processing.

The App extracts breathing features such as:

  • Breathing rate

  • Inhale/exhale phase timing

  • Inhale/exhale ratio

  • Session duration

  • Performance score

  • Adaptive difficulty metrics

Only these extracted features may be stored to enable:

  • Progress tracking

  • Session history

  • Personalization features

D. Self-Reported Data (If Provided)

  • Stress ratings

  • Mood check-ins

  • Session feedback

4. Purpose of Collection

We collect and process data to:

  • Deliver breathing sessions

  • Provide real-time feedback

  • Generate performance scores

  • Enable progress tracking

  • Support personalization features

  • Improve product functionality

  • Maintain security and prevent misuse

We do not collect data for unrelated purposes.

5. Consent

By using the App and granting microphone permission, you consent to the processing described in this policy.

You may withdraw consent at any time by:

  • Revoking microphone access in device settings

  • Deleting your account

Withdrawal of microphone access will prevent breathing detection features from functioning.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the service

  • Maintain user accounts

  • Support personalization features

Users may request deletion at any time.

Upon deletion:

  • Identifiable data is removed from active systems.

  • Backup copies may persist for up to 28 days before permanent purge.

  • Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot identify a user may be retained for research and product improvement.

Data may be stored in secure cloud infrastructure.

We implement safeguards including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS)

  • Encryption at rest

  • Role-based access controls

  • Secure authentication mechanisms

Access to production systems is restricted and logged.

11. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age.

If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 was collected without appropriate consent, we will delete it.

Depending on infrastructure providers, data may be processed outside Québec or Canada.

When this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place consistent with Québec Law 25.
